It went a bit under the radar when Tyler Goodson announced his commitment to Iowa -- via awesome training montage video -- back on Independence Day Eve, but the three-star halfback from Georgia has only seen his stock rise in the subsequent six months. He added a bunch of Power Five offers since his commitment, culminating in a near-sleepover from Lil' Bo Schembechler himself last week.
It was a great blessing meeting Coach Harbaugh and the Michigan staff but, the jury has decided and we are 2000 percent Hawkeyes! #IowaEdge #FightforIowa #GoHawks #Allin #Dec19th @tgood1110 pic.twitter.com/AacmpT5S1p

Goodson resisted all advances, perhaps a bit of payback to Iowa for cutting all other halfback recruits loose when he committed in July. Iowa has tried to break into Georgia for a few years now, with some success. Like with all recruits out of the immediate vicinity of Iowa City, keeping him on campus and contributing is the next challenge. Goodson definitely looks the part of an immediate contributor, though, especially for an Iowa running game that sputtered too often in 2018.
Welcome to Iowa, Tyler.
