Hometown (High School): Belleville, MI (Belleville)
247 Composite Ranking: 3-stars, 54th best strongside defensive end
Other Offers: Michigan State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Boston College, Mizzou, Pitt, and a bunch of other mid-majorish programs
In a class with a trio of project defensive linemen, Hunt is both the most credentialed and most sought-after. He already had a monster offer sheet when he tweeted out his commitment in June, and only added more offers from there.
It doesn't hurt that Hunt is already pushing 250 pounds (in comparison to Iowa's other defensive line commits, who are going to need at least a year or two in the weight room. It also doesn't hurt that, at 6'3" and 235 pounds, he had the speed to play halfback for his high school team.
Hunt played defensive end in high school, and likely plays defensive tackle at Iowa at some point in the future. But the defensive line depth chart is stacked enough, and Hunt still not big enough, that he's likely a couple of years away from showing up on the defense. That doesn't mean Iowa can't use a 6'3", 235-pound guy with halfback speed and enough of a mean streak to title his videos "HUNTIN' SEASON" somewhere.
