The December early signing period has taken some of the steam out of it, but the official Signing Day for college football is tomorrow. Iowa is still filling a couple of spots, what with NFL early entrants and whatnot, and we can expect a few additional signings in the next couple of days.
One of those will now be Jermari Harris, a three-star defensive back from suburban Chicago who announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Monday afternoon.

Harris's commitment had been expected for some time. His only other FBS division offers were from Ball State and Northern Illinois and, while those two schools received official visits from Harris in recent weeks, there was never really any doubt where he would end up. Harris received a three-star 247 Composite grade and a score in line with recent signee Yahweh Jeudy. He certainly has the frame that Phil Parker is looking for: He's already 6'2" and 175 pounds.
Harris's commitment puts Iowa's total numbers for 2019 at 21, and while the Hawkeye staff has turned its attention to the Class of 2020, it doesn't mean they're necessarily done with 2019 yet. Wednesday won't have the fireworks of past years, but that doesn't mean Iowa won't still be building for the future on Signing Day.
