TJ McCall

Defensive Lineman
Hometown (High School): Pensacola, FL (Pine Forest)
Height: 6'4
Weight: 225
247 Composite Ranking: 3-stars (180th best athlete)
Other Offers: Army, Navy, Alabama A&M, Chattanooga

With Iowa losing four defensive linemen, it made sense that they’d put emphasis on defensive linemen in their 2019 recruiting class. That being said, McCall is a…quirky recruit. His offer list is made up of a couple of service academies (go Navy, beat Army) and some Group of 5 Schools, he didn’t even play football his junior year and he’s a slight 225 pounds. Wait, did I say quirky? I meant: a very Kirk Ferentz recruit.

Despite not playing football in 2017, he amassed 88 tackles, 11 sacks and a touchdown (!?) as a senior for Pine Forest High School. Need some highlights? We gotchu:

Anyone who scoops and scores is a winner in my book.

At 225, McCall is probably going to see a redshirt his first year so that Chris Doyle can turn him into a giant muscle. See you when you get there, TJ.
