Jermari Harris

Defensive Back
Hometown (High School): Lombard, IL (Montini)
Height: 6'1
Weight: 175
247 Composite Ranking: 3-stars (162nd best cornerback)
Other Offers: Ball State, NIU, North Dakota State, EIU, Indiana State

Take THAT, BIZON. Iowa’s penultimate commitment came from Harris, a native of Lombard, Illinois. Lombard is a far west suburb of Chicago that kids from the suburbs would still call “Chicago” when they attend the University of Iowa. The Hawkeyes were Harris’s only Power 5 offer and the only school that didn’t have a “State” or a direction in their name. OK, I lied, North Dakota offered him as well.

As a senior, Harris amassed 72 tackles, 8 interceptions, 5 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles. He was named all-conference and all-area and here are some highlights:

Let me just say, I’m a fan of anyone who says SZN instead of season.

You’re probably like “wait a 2-star guy with no other Power 5 offers what” and I’m like “just be quiet and trust Phil Parker I think he knows what he’s doing you’re just a guy living in your mom’s basement”. In Phil We Trust.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Harris.
