Welcome to Week 11, a week that many are calling the biggest weekend in the history of Big Ten football. Is it because Penn State and Minnesota square off in a battle of undefeated teams? No. Maybe because Iowa and Wisconsin are playing in what is essentially an elimination game? Nope. Because Ohio State is a 43.5 point favorite in a conference game??? WRONG AGAIN.
THAT’S RIGHT, IT IS OFFICIALLY BIG TEN UNDERS WEEK, INCLUDING THE RETURN OF A LONG LOST FRIEND!
BIG TEN PICKS OF THE WEEK
#4 Penn State -6.5 vs #17 Minnesota (11:00 AM, ABC)
First off, I just want to congratulate PJ Fleck for the massive raise he just got. That dude rowed the boat all the way to 8-0 by beating up on some of the worst teams ever and I wish I had his life. Unfortunately, Penn State is not Purdue, or Illinois, or Rutgers, or Maryland, or Nebraska. The boat sinks here.
PICK: PENN STATE -6.5
Northwestern -2.5 vs Purdue (11:00 AM, BTN)
Northwestern has the worst scoring offense in the country…Worse than Rutgers! I know Purdue is on their 9th string QB, but there is absolutely nothing you can tell me to make me want to bet on Northwestern. I am fairly certain if Northwestern played Rutgers I would bet on Rutgers. SOMEONE HELP ME. Much like the Nebraska game for Purdue, it won’t be pretty but they should be able to win this one, all it will take is 1 touchdown.
PICK: PURDUE +2.5, UNDER 40
#1 Ohio State -43.5 vs Maryland (11:00 AM, FOX)
Ohio State is 7-1 ATS and will be 8-1 come Saturday afternoon. 43.5 is a large number, but don’t worry, this will be an easy cover because Maryland is garbage and still on my shit list for their performance the last few weeks. I don’t think they will even score a touchdown, so go ahead and take the Under as well.
PICK: OHIO STATE -43.5, UNDER 65
Michigan State -14.5 vs Illinois
This is it, the moment you have all been waiting for…The return of #MSUnders!!! Since officially banning #MSUnders from Spread Awareness a few weeks ago, we have felt pretty lost. Every week we check the MSU scores to see if maybe they had decided to start being a team player again, and after lots of research, we can confidently say that #MSUnders is BACK. That’s right, WE ARE GUARANTEEING that #MSUnders hits this week or your money back*!!!! MSU has hit the under three games in a row while Illinois has gone under in 4 of their last 5. THIS IS FREE MONEY!
PICK: #MSUnders 45.5
#18 Iowa +9.5 @ #13 Wisconsin (3:00 PM CST, FOX)
Well, the total for this clash of the offensive titans is a hefty 38 points. Iowa has gone UNDER the total in every single game this year except for one, which they pushed. Wisconsin has gone UNDER in 6 of their 8 games… I think you all know what we are going to do with that.
As for the spread, I have no idea which way to go. I just can’t get the thought of Jonathon Taylor running for 300 yards against us out of my head, it’s disgusting. On the bright side, Iowa has covered in 5 of their last 6 games at Wisconsin. Unfortunately, I think this is the week Wisconsin gets back on track offensively, and by back on track I mean score two touchdowns which will probably be more than enough to win.
So, with that being said, we are officially TAKING THE IOWA HAWKEYES -9.5 AND THE IOWA HAWKEYES TO WIN STRAIGHT UP (+305) BECAUSE WISCONSIN LOST TO ILLINOIS AND THEY CAN NEVER BE FORGIVEN.
PICK: IOWA MONEYLINE, IOWA +9.5, UNDER 38
BIG GAMES, BIGGER WINNERS
#2 LSU +6 @ #3 Alabama: I was 100% going to pick Alabama until I saw this:

Now, I have never been more certain about something in my life. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!
#16 Kansas State +7 @ Texas: Texas and Nebraska should play in the BACK bowl. The winner gets to spend all offseason talking about how they are #BACK, the loser has to shut up for 7 months. Sounds fair to me.
#9 Oklahoma -14 vs Iowa State: Oklahoma has to win, and win big if they want to have any chance at making the playoff. This won't be pretty, which is totally fine with us.
#22 Boise State -13 vs Wyoming: The Cowboys are heading into a night game on the blue turf with a backup QB...Uh oh.
