OUR TRIUMPHANT GAMBLING DAY, AAAAWHHAAAHHAWWHHAWWHHLEELLUJAH!

WHO DID ONCE GO 9 AND 0, AAAAWHHAAAHHAWWHHAWWHHLEELLUJAH!

SING WE TO OUR GAMBLING GOD, AAAAWHHAAAHHAWWHHAWWHHLEELLUJAH!

WE ARE BACK and I am so so so happy to gamble on college football again. You might be wondering where we have been for the first few weeks of the season, and I have to honest, I just haven't felt like writing. I have been in a very, very dark gambling place. How dark? At one point in June, I had an 0-14 gambling day where all I bet on was horse racing and League of Legends. What is LoL you might ask? It is a video game with two teams. I have no idea how scoring works, or what the overall goal of the game is, but I have been betting on it for months...YIKES.

So yeah, it feels good to get back to our roots and it feels good to know the loyal Spread Awareness readers are contacting their bookies right now warning them that they will be putting in ONLY WINNERS this week. Yes, we are still without the Big Ten, but that is okay. Soon, my friends. For now, we will use the weeks leading up to the Big Ten kickoff as a warm-up. Let’s go.

LOCKS OF THE WEEK

#11 Oklahoma State -22.5 @ Kansas (2:30 pm CST, ESPN)

Surprised this game isn’t being shown on OAN, right??? LOL! OK, rough start, still getting back into the swing of things. OSU is off to one of the most unimpressive 2-0 starts I have ever seen. They barely beat Tulsa and only managed to pass for 139 yards vs West Virginia. Luckily for them, they get to play Kansas this week. Kansas is, without a doubt, the worst football program in the country. If they played Rutgers, I am pretty sure they would be a 10-point underdog. OSU wins this by 30 with Chuba Hubbard rushing for 200+ yards.

PICK: OKLAHOMA STATE -22.5

#2 Alabama -18 vs #13 Texas A&M (2:30 PM CST, CBS)

Lets goooo!!! Our first almost Top Ten matchup of the season! WE FINALLY HAVE A GOOD FOOTBALL GAME TO WATCH!!!

*Watches tape of Texas A&M’s game vs Vanderbilt*

MOTHER [email protected]$%$#…. Alabama by 50.

PICK: #ROLLTIDE -18

SMU +1 vs #25 Memphis (2:30 PM CST, ESPN 2)

3-0 SMU takes on #25 Memphis, a team that has not played a football game in almost a full month. Memphis has still not really returned to having normal practices yet, but have “a majority” of their team available to play according to their coach…SMU is rolling so far this season, winning their last game 50-7. Sure, Memphis is a better team than Stone Cold Stephen F. Austin, but the long break is going to BREAK their chances of winning.

PICK: SMU +1

Air Force +7 vs Navy (5:00 PM CST, CBS Sports)

The first matchup for the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy will put a pretty awful Navy team up against an Air Force team that only has two games on their schedule at this point. (Ed. Note: they're actually going to play more games this year, since the Mountain West has also decided to return to the field this fall. -- RB) I have no idea how this game will play out, but the jerseys Air Force is wearing for the game should give them at least a 7-point head start so this game is basically a pick’em.

Pick: AIR FORCE +7

Iowa State +7 vs #18 Oklahoma (6:30 PM CST, ABC)

Two of the preseason's most overrated teams square off this week for a game that will feature two quarterbacks who like to throw the ball to both teams. Last week Brock Purdy threw what is being considered by many to be the worst pass in the history of organized football.

Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler threw for 387 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions vs K-State last week. At one point he had completed 23 of 25 passes, with his only 2 incompletions being intercepted…Whoa.

I don’t think Iowa State can stop Oklahoma, and I don’t think Oklahoma can stop anything, so we are going with the OVER in this one as well as Oklahoma -7.

Pick: OKLAHOMA -7, OVER 63.6

#3 Georgia -7 vs #7 Auburn (6:30 PM CST, ESPN)

HERE WE GO, AN ACTUAL TOP TEN GAME THAT HAS TWO TEAMS THAT MIGHT BE GOOD!

Does Georgia have a quarterback? NO ONE KNOWS. IS BO NIX THE MOST SEC QB NAME IN THE HISTORY OF SEC QUARTERBACKS? POSSIBLY!

With that being said, I have no clue how Auburn is a touchdown DAWG here (there we go, Spread Awareness is officially BACK). Bo Nix and the boys not only cover, but they win BIG.

PICK: WARRRRRRR EAGGLEEEEEEE +7
