Welcome back to Spread Awareness, where last week we absolutely, positively, without a doubt, dominated the college football board to the tune of a 5-2 record. With all that is going wrong in the world currently, I bet it is nice for you all to know that you have a place where you come to get good news, winning picks, and FREE MONEY. We have a few good games this week, and some real stinkers, but whatever, it’s football. Now, COME AND GET YOUR #WINNERS.

LOCKS OF THE WEEK

#8 North Carolina -4.5 vs #19 Virginia Tech (11:00 AM CST, ABC)

Last season, these two teams played a six-overtime game that Virginia Tech ended up winning 43-41. The game, much like my life, was total chaos. This year, VT brings with it running back Khalil Herbert, who had 358 all-purpose yards vs Duke. Herbert is a transfer from Kansas, proving that no matter how good you are, once you put on a Kansas football jersey your athletic ability disappears.

North Carolina has Mack Brown as their coach, which still shocks me every time I see it. That is the only analysis I have for North Carolina, and honestly, that is all I really need.

PICK: NORTH CAROLINA -4.5, UNDER 59.5

#22 Texas +2.5 vs Oklahoma (11:00 AM CST, FOX)

Question: I have not been alive for that long (well, kind of) but I believe, solely based on my poor memory, that this is the worst matchup in the history of the Red River Rivalry. Oklahoma has lost back-to-back games to Kansas State and Iowa State.  Texas lost to TCU and should have lost to Texas Tech.

This game is going to be bad. How bad? WELL, since you asked, of the 74 teams currently playing college football, Texas and Oklahoma are ranked as the 72nd and 73rd worst tackling teams in the country. What does this mean? POINTS. Bet the house, and your left hand (no one really needs that anyway) on the OVER.

PICK: OVER 72.5

#21 Texas A&M +6.5 vs #4 Florida (11:00 AM CST, ESPN)

Remember when all of these new schedules got released and Nebraska cried about how hard their first few games were and how the Big Ten should give them easier games so they can get the program turned around? Well Texas A&M may have gotten screwed even worse. Sure, they opened the season against a terrible Vanderbilt team, but then they had to travel to Tuscaloosa to play #2 Alabama, and now have to play #4 Florida. Sorry, Nebraska, you can’t even win at getting screwed over the most.

Florida has opened the season on a roll. Their QB Kyle Trask has been very, very good through two games, passing for almost 700 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only one INT. After winning 10 games two seasons ago, and 11 games last year, there is a fairly decent chance that they will finish the regular season undefeated if they can beat Georgia in a few weeks. On the other hand, Texas A&M is coming off of a game in which they got blown out and gave up 435 passing yards. I think you can all see where we are going with this.

PICK: FLORIDA -6.5

#14 Tennessee vs #3 Georgia (2:30 PM CST, CBS)

Can I be honest with you all? Are we in the trust tree? Okay good, here we go.

Last week I messed up, bigly. I said Auburn was going to beat Georgia because they had a QB named Bo Nix, which was the most SEC name ever, and Georgia didn’t even have a quarterback. Well, guess what? I am a stupid idiot. Not only does Bo Nix STINK, but Georgia found a quarterback who has even MORE of an SEC QB name in Stetson Bennett. I apologize for my lack of research into the topic, but to be fair, that is kind of the Spread Awareness #brand.

To make up for this terrible take we are going with Georgia here (mainly because their defense is sick, but also kind of because of Stetson).

PICK: GEORGIA -12.5

IT’S A TRAP! GAME OF THE WEEK

TRAP!

Texas Tech +12.5 at #24 Iowa State (2:30 PM CST, ABC)

The Cyclones are coming off of a win over a very bad Oklahoma team and is Matt Campbell the greatest coach in the history of college football? I mean, sure, they lost to Louisiana Lafayette to open the season, but HE BEAT OKLAHOMA!

This is a #TRAP game for Iowa State, as they have a bye week and then a matchup against #10 Oklahoma State in 2 weeks. Not one of these guys care about Texas Tech, I mean, how could they? THEY JUST BEAT OKLAHOMA! Lowly Texas Tech is no match for the power of the Cyclone, right? RIGHT???????? Wrong.

PICK: Texas Tech +12.5

TOP TEN GAME OF THE DAY GUARANTEED WINNER OF THE WEEK

#1 CLEMSON -14.5 VS #7 MIAMI (6:30 PM CST, ABC)

Here we go! The first TOP TEN GAME OF THE DAY GUARANTEED WINNER OF THE WEEK of the season! We have never lost one of these, and we don’t plan to start now.

Over the last several years of picking only winners, one thing has become abundantly clear: YOU DON’T WIN MONEY BETTING AGAINST CLEMSON. Another thing is also clear: WHENEVER THE U THINKS THEY ARE OFFICIALLY BACK, THEY COMPLETELY FALL APART IN THE MOST MAGNIFICENT WAY.

So, with that being said…

PICKS: CLEMSON -14.5, OVER 62.5

** YTD Record: 5-2 | ATS: 4-2 | O/U: 1-0 **
