What does offense mean?
Waiting for the next time Michigan comes to visit
One other one of note, Stewart Mandel from the Athletic had Iowa in the Rose bowl. He had Wisconsin in the playoff, so he must have been assuming Iowa would sneak past the East loser of the Championship game since they would have that extra loss.
That’s interesting. So under his scenario he has 1 loss Iowa ranked ahead of a two loss East division champ? Seems unlikely unless that is Penn St since Iowa would have had to beat them to only have 1 loss. I would absolutely expect a 2 loss Ohio St or Michigan school to be ranked ahead of 1 loss Iowa if those two losses were to Wisconsin/Penn St or Wisconsin/Ohio St.
I guess he could be thinking the East champ would be a three loss team after losing to Wisky in the championship game. I’d still think Iowa better not have more than 1 loss if they want to play in the Rose under that scenario
Just remembered both Michigan schools already have a loss but still, if Michigan loses to Notre Dame and Wisconsin they’d be ranked ahead of a 1 loss Iowa team just because Michigan and they didn’t play nobody narrative
That and Harbaugh has sleepovers with the CFB playoff committee members.
After spending years being bullied by the big ten, I decided to become the bully and go after Iowa basketball players. I also have no concept of what is real and what is fantasy, as demonstrated by my belief that I could coach.
I think Citrus makes the most sense - mostly because I don't think I have ever seen a preseason consensus of Iowa's bowl destination be correct and everybody seemed to have us in the Holiday Bowl before the year started. Only way go into a higher group is if we beat Wisconsin and only way we go into a lower group is if we lost at least five games (or a lot of good Big Ten teams end the year ranked too far down to make it into the NY6 but that seems unlikely).
Orlando should be fun. Probably play someone like Auburn or LSU again which would be fine by me.
Bowl games are fun to think about. Ahh bowl games

Yes, Yes I have seen Iowa with possession of the ball (I'm boycotting use of the O-word until Hawks demonstrate an intention to score when they have the ball), and my prediction is that a defensive player--perhaps A.J., Hesse, Nelson--will be named BIG Offensive Player of the Week before anyone on the other side of the ball will.
Ill take that bet. One or both of the TEs will have a monster game soon.
If Josh Jackson didn’t earn an offensive award after his game against Sconnie (he didn’t), I don’t have high hopes that any Iowa defensive player will.
So much riding on this Sconni game! It would be the most Iowa thing ever to beat the Badgers and then lose to jNW and Maryland and have WI still win the West
