Another week, another win picking the Over/Under and SPREAD AWARENESS is now 4-0! Should I brag about how this is the greatest O/U picking column in the history of the world, how we are so hot that Vegas is scrambling to figure out our very complicated algorithms? Probably, but I won’t do that because while we have been great (amazing, some would say) we have some real issues to address.
After a 20 point loss to Ohio State, we are now 0-4 against the spread. I am a pretty laid back guy. It takes a lot to get me going, to get me riled up and mad, but what happened to Iowa at Ohio State is COMPLETE BULLSHIT.
FIRST, LAS VEGAS MAKING IOWA A 3.5 POINT DOG? WHAT THE *&%# IS THAT? THOSE BOOKMAKERS ARE A BUNCH OF <$#@%[email protected]*&^% IDIOTS. HOW CAN A TEAM OF @*&$&#^^ COLLEGE KIDS BE EXPECTED TO PLAY A BASKETBALL GAME AFTER BEING DISRESPECTED LIKE THAT? AND HOW ABOUT THOSE REFS? WHAT A %^#$&^#&$^ &#^$% &#^$%!^ TRAVESTY. $*&# THOSE NO GOOD, CHEATING, MOTHER %*&#[email protected]! #$*%#. ($*%^$ THEM. THAT WAS A COMPLETE [email protected]$#(&%$ $#(! SHOW!
I AM SICK OF LOSING AND IT IS THEIR *#&$^#&$ FAULT, NOT MINE. I HOPE THEIR FAMILIES *$&#$&^$ IN #$(&*@#(*&$# WHILE (&#$(*&$%(*&$ IN BETWEEN (*#&(*&%$(* UNDERNEATH A (*$%&(*@[email protected]$!
BREAKING: SPREAD AWARENESS SUSPENDED FOR TWO GAMES
Iowa City, Iowa—Go Iowa Awesome staff has announced on Saturday a two-game suspension of SPREAD AWARENESS for unwritersmanlike comments directed at the officials, their families, and Las Vegas bookmakers in the weekly pre-game column while discussing Iowa vs Ohio State.
The entire GIA staff supports this suspension and has announced that SPREAD AWARENESS will also be fined one paycheck as a result of violating the GIA contributor policy, in addition to issuing a public reprimand.
“In his pre-game column, SPREAD AWARENESS made unacceptable comments about game officials, their families, and the city of Las Vegas.” said RossWB. “The comments, which we censored due to their extreme vulgarity, were disturbing and the things he wished upon those poor souls do not represent the values of GIA.”
“I completely, 100% disagree with the suspension and fine levied by GIA,” said Nickdo. “My comments directed toward the bookmakers of Las Vegas, and the referees were the truth. My only regret is that I forgot to mention how much of a *#*&#* @$#*&%# number 10 for Ohio State is. I will not apologize. I take no responsibility for the column and blame all of the problems on the readers of GIA for pressuring me into going 0-4 against the spread this season. Also, take Iowa (-8.5) and the over (146.5) against Rutgers.”
GIA considers this matter handled and will have no further comment.
