We're going dancin'! We felt good about Iowa's odds of making the NCAA Tournament, but it's always good to see official confirmation and we got it on Sunday night as the bracket was unveiled. Iowa is the 10-seed in the South regional and they're set to play 7-seed Cincinnati on Friday (11:15 AM CT, CBS). The game will be played in Columbus, OH.
Here's a look at the full South regional:

If Iowa is able to get by Cincinnati, they'd likely face 2-seed Tennessee on Sunday in the second round.
A few early thoughts: as a 10-seed Iowa was probably closer to being on the bubble than the experts suggested. Most of the final mock brackets still had Iowa as an 8- or 9-seed, but the committee obviously slotted them as a 10-seed. Turns out losing four in a row to end the regular season and five of your final six is detrimental to your seeding hopes!
The good thing about being a 10-seed is getting out of a pod with a 1-seed, but Iowa still finds themselves in a very difficult pod. Cincinnati is a difficult draw as the 7-seed, especially given that this game will be in Columbus, OH, just up the road from Cincinnati, and they should have a home court advantage. Tennessee is also a very challenging 2-seed, given that they were being talked about as a possible 1-seed after their win over Kentucky yesterday. Iowa's going to need to find a way to play their very best basketball of the season to make noise in this bracket.
EDIT: TV/time information is out now -- Iowa-Cincinnati will be at 11:15 AM CT on CBS on Friday, March 22.
We'll have much more on Iowa's matchup with Cincinnati in the next few days.
