BIG TEN CHAMPIONS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Despite shooting just 43% from the floor and 29% from long range and getting out-rebounded by the Boilermakers by 18 (!), Iowa was able to engineer a stunning 75-66 victory over Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game. How? By playing their best defensive game of the season and harassing Purdue into countless turnovers and hurried, missed shots. But we'll have a full recap along in a little bit. For now, we're just gonna relish the fact that for the first time since 2006, Iowa is a BIG TEN CHAMPION.

Hell. Fucking. Yeah.

This win also means that Iowa caps off an incredible two weeks that featured not one, but two Iowa basketball programs winning Big Ten Tournament titles. The women did the deed last weekend, beating Indiana in the final. The men matched that accomplishment this weekend, finishing off Purdue in the final. What a great fortnight for Iowa basketball.

This is just the fourth time the same Big Ten school has won the men's and women's basketball tournaments, and the first since Ohio State did the double-dip in 2011. The full list of double champions:

2001: Iowa
2010: Ohio State
2011: Ohio State
2022: Iowa

The 'eyes have it.

So yeah: move those feet, people.

GO BIG TEN TOURNAMENT AWESOME
GO CHAMPIONS AWESOME
GO IOWA AWESOME
