WHAT: 2019 NFL Draft
Thursday, April 25 -- 7 PM CT (Round 1)
Friday, April 26 -- 6 PM CT (Rounds 2-3)
Saturday, April 27 -- 11 AM CT (Rounds 4-7)
Months of talking heads jabbering on about college football players comes to its climax this weekend with the 2019 NFL Draft, which features... uh, talking heads jabbering on about college football players. But at least we know which NFL teams those players will be suiting up for in 2019!
You have not one, not two, but three different options to watch the Draft on TV this year: ESPN and NFL Network have your traditional broadcasts, hosted by their familiar crews (Trey Wingo, Mel Kiper, Todd McShay & Co. on ESPN, Rich Eisen and whoever still works for NFL Network on NFLN), while ABC has a more college-oriented broadcast, featuring the College Gameday crew. So many choices!
As Iowa fans, we're always primarily interested in the Draft each year to see where Iowa guys are headed and this year is no different. The good news is that we shouldn't have to wait very long to see Iowa guys hear their names called -- and we could see some history made on Thursday night. In the meantime, we can always laugh at how the Raiders will manage to screw up three first round picks and see which teams mortgage their futures to move up and select one of this year's middling QB prospects. So much fun to be had!
The usual rules apply.
