Danan Hughes was one of more athletic players in Iowa football history. He excelled in both football and baseball, being named All-Big Ten in both sports for the Hawkeyes. As a wide-receiver, he set Iowa's freshman receiving yards record and is 3rd all time in career receiving yards. In 1991, Iowa took on Minnesota in what would be remembered as the Snow Game. Conditions were...poor. Only 32,000 people showed up for the game as it was basically a frozen tundra. Following a touchdown reception, Hughes laid down in the end zone and made a snow angel, as seen at approximately 1:47:
Iowa won 23-8, giving Hayden Fry his 100th victory.
