We've talked before about how loaded Iowa's 2019-20 wrestling schedule is, particularly the home duals. The NWCA released their preseason poll for the college wrestling season and it highlighted just how incredibly stacked Iowa's home schedule is this season. First, the Top 15 of the poll:

RANK TEAM PTS
1 Penn State (12) 348
2 Iowa (2) 337
3 Ohio State 314
4 Oklahoma State 295
5 Nebraska 263
6 Wisconsin 257
7 Minnesota 254
8 Arizona State 243
9 Missouri 235
10 NC State 222
11 Lehigh 211
12 Iowa State 204
13 UNI 159
14 Pitt 141
15 Princeton 131

(The entire NWCA Top 25 is available here.)

As the official Iowa wrestling account noted, that means you can see all of the top seven teams in the country in CHA this season:

That is one hell of a home schedule.

The first big-time home dual comes when Iowa welcomes #6 Wisconsin on December 1. But business really picks up in January when Iowa hosts the #5 (Nebraska), #3 (Ohio State), and #1 (Penn State) ranked teams on back-to-back-to-back weekends (Nebraska on 1/18, OSU on 1/24, PSU on 1/31). Finally, Iowa wraps up their home schedule with #7 Minnesota and #4 Oklahoma State on 2/15 and 2/23. Whew.

All of the best teams in the country will be passing through Iowa City this winter -- the lure of seeing that, as well as the best Iowa team in a decade, ought to be a pretty powerful incentive to check out the Hawkeyes in person. Season tickets are still available, for just $85 a pop. Single meet tickets are also available, with Chattanooga, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are available for $12 a ticket for adults ($8 for kids), Ohio State and Oklahoma State tickets for $15 a ticket for adults ($10 for kids), and Penn State tickets for $20 a ticket for adults ($12 for kids).

Iowa is also set to face three ranked squads away from home this season: #12 Iowa State on 11/24, #15 Princeton on 12/8, and #19 Michigan on 2/8. Overall, 9 of Iowa's 13 dual meet opponents this season are ranked in the Top 20 in this preseason poll. Bring. It. On.
