I’m willing to give him the opportunity to try again next year. I thought about it for awhile, and it’s the right thing to do
Iowa’s not playing back to back nights, they have two full days between each of the 4 upcoming games, then longer breaks in the games after that.
These are 18-21 yr old guys, they should be able to physically handle it.
Is the coronovirus as bad as the news/markets are making it out to be?
Hey don’t get too worked up. It’s not like Rodrigo made fewer field goals at a worse percentage than Duncan, and missed a very make able field goal that likely cost his team a playoff spot. Oh, wait
Justin Fields should be offensive player of the year. 37TD's and only 1 (ONE!!!) interception, along w/ 10 rushing TD's. Simply outstanding.
A lot of kickers are not on scholarship
It says it wasn’t good and they probably tried to feed to many mouths as well
It’s the leg stripe
I Very much agree with the last part
Part of that could be the sport. Football lends itself to aggressiveness, anger, violence etc. Basketball also has your coaches right there, front and center near the action moreso than football
Wisconsin hasn’t had a good Qb since Russell Wilson in 2011, yet they crank out a dominant run game in spite of that every year. Then, because they run the ball so well, they manage at least an okay passing game because of the incredibly favorable looks they get. I don’t think it’s that far out there to say Iowa has had a better Qb(most important position on the field) for this game every year since Wilson, yet has only won once. It should be one of many flashing red lights to the Iowa coaching staff that what they are doing in their run schemes is not working at all.
African Americans make up a small percentage of the country, yet the overwhelming majority of the NBA. It doesn’t take a racist (simply a realist) to gather that in general, African Americans are better basketball players. That doesn’t mean all white players suck, and every black person is a great basketball player
I’d honestly be surprised if they didn’t.
It can go either way, but I vote onside kick. You have a chance to recover it and still have a chance to stop them 3 and out if you don’t. Kick it deep, and your only hope is stopping their running game, which was proven Iowa can’t do. The only stops Iowa had in the 2nd half, were due to Wisconsin trying to pass for some reason.
Can’t do that. If Iowa moves on from McCaffery, we’ll obviously head straight back to the Lickliter years. Same thing with Ferentz, move on from him and it’s straight back to the 70’s. We must stick with it and learn to love the 8-12 range in the B1G
Nope. Stross actually had a drop (or two, can’t remember) that was pretty big in that game
"Michael Ojemudia putting together an Amari Spievey-like season." I didn't see it coming with him. I thought he was okay at best and would struggle this year. I'm glad he's thoroughly proven me wrong on that!
The coaching staff. Not the Hawks
One. 1. Uno.. Rutgers really threw for one f'in yard?! Was the extra money really worth adding that dumpster fire team?
Smith-Marsette scored on one against MTSU if I remember correctly
I imagine teams are very aware of this. It's something I've noticed for a long time. If they ever do audible to a pass, it is very rare.
He's a redshirt junior. He can just keep playing and still come back next year.
So he’d find a way to keep us out of the playoff you’re saying?
This post needs Awesome Points
It's not just the university that would miss out on a lot of money with one less home game. What is the monetary value of a football weekend lost for the Iowa City/Coralville area?
