I am an Iowa fan stuck in Lincoln, Nebraska. Both of my parents went to Iowa, I was going to go to Iowa but decided an NAIA baseball career was the route for me. Two shoulder surgery's and a mountain of crippling student debt later it is safe to say I regret that choice.

- SPORTS MOMENT: Does the entire year of 2015 count? Because that is my answer. The Hawkeyes rolled to an undefeated regular season and the Royals won the World Series.

Austin Martin doubles and Iowa takes a 1-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Iowa has the lead in a Big Ten game, this is not a drill!

That's what I thought but Iowa put this on the preview for the Cal-state series and now I'm confused:
"Four Hawkeyes -- Tanner Wetrich, Ben Norman, Mitchell Boe, and Justin Jenkins -- have at least three stolen bases for a team total of 20, which ranks fourth-best in the Big Ten. Wetrich leads Iowa with five steals in six attempts."
So apparently Wetrich got caught once? I don't remember it, may need to conduct an investigation.

It doesn't sound like a whole lot. Hitting off a pitching machine here and there since fall and had a couple live at-bats a few weeks ago.

WEATHER UPDATE:
"The series, which was slated to begin Friday in Evansville, has been moved to Rent One Park in Marion, Illinois, beginning with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. (CT). The third and final game of the three-game series will also begin at 1 p.m. at Rent One Park.
Rent One Park is the home of the Southern Illinois Miners, a member of the independent Frontier League."
