According to the article cited, he was arrested shortly after 1 AM. I am not sure if the University has classes that start that early or late, depending on your point of view, or what kind of appointment it would be at that time. The kid should have known better. Period.
I like to picture Kirk tailgating with a his pleated khakis, white polo shirt, chewing the shit out of some gum and he pulls out his pad of paper and his pen and writes notes down on either what aspects of the tailgate he liked or what aspects of the tailgate he thinks needs improvement.
Then after the tailgate he will remark on these notes and give some obscure reference to when he was in HS and went to a tailgate and what he wishes the modern tailgate was more like tailgating when he was younger.
Here is a crazy thought. Perhaps Lisa Bluder should coach the men's team. After all, the women's team gets stronger down the the line and heading into tournament time, where as Fran's team seem to fizzle out late season.
Iowa should tap Iowa State's head coach to replace Reese. I heard he has like 13 national championships as a player and coach and NCAA 14 player on PS4 and Xbox!
The only negative I have on this game is that on the bottom of the screen scroll, where the BTN lists the standings for the league, they had Iowa at 12-4 with a 2-3 record (during this game) in the BIG. I was racking my brain trying to figure out where the 4th loss came from, then I realized that the BTN made a typo. For some reason, this slight really stuck in my craw and I was fuming about it most of the game.
Other than that, great game by the Hawks and a great win. I would like to see the team play like this against MSU, Michigan, Purdue, Maryland, etc. It seems that during the games against the league's best teams, Iowa folds. Let's hope that changes the rest of the season.
I agree with the others, take the kids. It will be a great memory and I can show them my “peg leg” again.
Just so no one misinterpret what I mean, I have a prosthetic leg and the last time I met up with Catnuts in real life, his kids called my prosthetic a “peg leg”.
Pharmer, hit me up, you can come tailgate with us. Would love to see you again. I think the last time, was when you were at Purdue with some Pharm students.
I live in Muncie, and I can confirm that Indiana is a weird state. Sometimes I feel like "how the hell can this state be such bigots", then there are times that I feel that this state is just bi-polar or they lack a true identity. Lastly, I agree that Gary is the 6th level of hell.
I bet you don't even have a brother!
OK Iowa fans, here is a video of an OSU fan reacting to last night's Iowa 55 - 24 beatdown of OSU. He has discovered Iowa's secret weapon to winning this game. Make sure you catch his comments starting at 2:18.
I hope that the Hawks continue to play like this next week against the Badgers.
Go Hawks! On Iowa!
"that's football", Kirk.
How about a timely 3 that wins a game for Iowa in the NCAA Tournament? That would be pretty excellent.
Yes, it would be great if Iowa could be some other school's Northwestern State and kill their hopes and dreams with a timely 3 and win the game.
Is it still too soon?
When did my house become so dusty?
Pat, your game day information is from last week. I think we are playing MSU today, unless you are trapped in a "Groundhog Day" type time trap.
I think it is the language in the songs. Not really "family friendly".
Very proud of the Hawks.
The only thing I question about the offense game plan is, if they knew that PSU blitzed 45% of the time, why not pass those quick slants more. They did throw one to ISM in the 4th and it got us a first down. I think if we are playing an aggressive D then running quick hitters in the vacated middle of the filed 5 to 7 yards at a time is the key to opening up the run game.
On Iowa! Go Hawks!
You mentioned that Hooker missed by a few inches. I keep thinking about this. Iowa played so well and they were just a couple inches away from upsetting the #4 team in the country. No one expected Iowa to be even in this game. Very proud of this team and especially the defense for the "never quit" attitude.
On Iowa! Go Hawks!
The entire defense played well and Josey, played out of his mind. He certainly deserves the recognition.
On Iowa! Go Hawks!
Could not be prouder of this team. They left everything on the field. Just few inches beat Iowa. Hooker almost tipped that last pass.
Saquon Barkley is a fucking beast and he beat Iowa.
Let's go Hawks! Let's go Hawks!
Getting pumped for a great Hawk victory!
I have heard that too.
I am an idiot. I was typing messages about the different games I was watching, thinking I was on this page. No one was responding, at all. So I leave and come back and see 4 new messages on this page, but all of my messages were not showing up, so I look in my profile to see if my messages even posted. As it turns out, I was on a different post and not this page. :)
Tanner Lee doing his best Tommy "Arm Punt" impersonation. Throwing a pick off his back foot.
Rutgers scores first with a TD! 7-0 Scarlet Knights
