Dickhead, you have a "7-0" room at your restaurant...

Urbz, bruh, it's 7-1.  You lost to the UM team that lost to Appalachian State.

UM's S&P+ Rank

2015:  10th

2016:  6th

2017:  13th

2018:  10th

2019:  10th (thru Week 12)

UM's 247 Composite Recruiting Rank

2016:  8th

2017:  5th

2018:  22nd

2019:  8th

2020:  11th (thru 11/21/19)

That's unstable?

...they sound less like the '19 Illini and more like the '86 Bears at the moment.

The '86 Bears lost a Divisional Playoff game to a team quarterbacked by Jay Schroeder.  I'm fairly certain my then-seven-year old brother cried.

The most Jim Harbaugh thing ever would be to follow up an ultra-rare Top Ten victory with a loss to a 3-5 team...

This couldn't be more wrong.  UM's struggles with Top 10 teams are well documented, but the worst team they've lost to under Harbaugh is either 2015 Utah (9-3) or 2016 Iowa (8-4), and both were prime time games on the road.

PSU had 283 yards against UM.

Iowa had 261 yards against UM.

PSU had 28 points against UM.

Iowa had 3 points against UM.

That's... something.

If Iowa goes 12-0, they'll make the playoff because an undefeated Power 5 champ simply will not be left out of the playoff. It's not going to happen.

*13-0, because they'd need to win in Indy.

Otherwise, you're 10,000% correct.

Since losing to Northwestern (in Rosemont, weird) on 2/6/18...

You think that's funny?  Click thru to this...

Now, I understand that futures odds this far out are hilariously skewed to steal money from the largest & most popular fanbase's dumbest fans, but still--only seven schools currently have shorter odds to win the National Championship next season than Nebraska.  Seven!

Two years must mean he's referencing his 2016 trip to Ann Arbor...

DT - Ryan Glasgow (4th, 2017), Chris Wormley (3rd, 2017), Mo Hurst (5th, 2018)

DE - Taco Charlton (1st, 2017), Rashan Gary, Chase Winovich

If Iowa's current defensive front is comparable to that, good lord.

Give Lovie Smith Aaron Rodgers, and he's in his 15th season in Chicago with three rings.

Give Mike McCarthy Chad Hutchinson/Kyle Orton/Rex Grossman/Brian Griese/Jay Cutler, and he's taking orders at a Hardee's drive thru.

Comment 15 Oct 2018

...holding Alex Hornibrook to seven completions and 100 yards...

On UW's final drive of the game, Hornibrook went 4-8, 75 yards, TD.

Meaning he was 3-12, 25 yards, 2 INT during the game's first 54:44.

What would happen if you combined Urban Meyer's recruiting ability with Brady Hoke's in-game coaching acumen?  James Franklin is totally trying to find out.

Comment 15 Dec 2017

Young man's more than earned the right to not play in a glorified exhibition (which only exists so that a massive corporation can extort teams into paying insane rates for travel-related expenses, pocket the kickbacks from said expenses, then force said teams into buying a billion tickets at recockulous prices that they usually can't sell).

Go get that NFL $$$, Josh.

Comment 12 Oct 2017

Indiana 34, Michigan 31

There isn't a chance in hell either of these teams gets anywhere close to 30 points.  I mean, the total is currently sitting at 47-ish.  Hammer the under--this is gonna be "bricks at three paces" to the death.

2015 MSU - once-in-a-generation punt fiasco as time expired

2015 tOSU - boatraced

2016 MSU - W

2016 tOSU - lost by three in 2OT

2017 MSU - only lost by four despite -5 turnover differential

So, yeah, UM is 1-4 in those games.  But there's an alternative world in which they get a modicum of luck and they're 4-1.  Such is life.
