IT IS WEEK SEVEN AND OUR IOWA HAWKEYES ARE THE #2 RANKED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY! Who could have possibly seen this coming??? I definitely did not, I thought Iowa would struggle thisaoshdflas OMGlaksjd fal;ksd MY LEG!!! Laksdjf alsdk IT HURTS SO BAD HELP ME!; alksdj f;alskdfj

Whoa, I am fine now. Anyway, welcome to week seven of Spread Awareness, which happens to be the hottest gambling newsletter written by me in the entire country! Listen, I don’t want to sound cocky, but last week we went 7-1-1 ATS. The week before that we went 8-3 ATS. For those counting at home, that means we are 15-4-1 ATS the last 2 weeks. WE ARE THE GREATEST GAMBLING NEWSLETTER ON THE PLANET (please do not look at our O/U stats, they are very bad). We have finally rebounded from our rough gambling start to the year officially have a winning record. It feels really good.

The games stink this week, but that is okay because Iowa is #2 and we get to watch the defense play again. THAT, my friends, is something to be happy about. Now, let's get into the poasidfals;kdf AWHHH, MY FINGERS! THEY HURT SO BADL:KJd falksdj

BIG TEN GAMES OF WEEK OF THE MEH...

#2 Iowa -11.5 vs Purdue (2:30 PM CST, ABC)

Our beloved Hawkeyes are coming off of the biggest win in program history since??? IDK, but it was HUGE. Our reward for winning? Playing a Purdue team that has been a ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT the last few years. Purdue has won three out of the last four games against Iowa and although they might not be great this year, they still have David Bell. Ugh.

A lot of people may be looking at this and seeing that Iowa has a bye the following week and thinking, OMG, TOTAL TRAP GAME!

not so fast

Outside of Notre Dame, Purdue has played no one. They shut out UConn, beat a not-great Oregon State team, squeaked by an awful Illinois team, and lost to Minnesota who is, by all accounts, not good. Iowa knows that from here on out, they are going to get the best shot from every single team they play. Spencer Petras was asked about this and his answer makes me worry that he is turning into a Ferentz.

Listen, we are going to be just fine! Purdue has a bunch of players out for various reasons (NOTE: IT IS SAD THAT THESE COLLEGE ATHLETES ARE HURT AND CANNOT PLAY. IT STINKS. FOR REAL), but again, they also still have David Bell which scares me a little if we are being honest…

Iowa wins this one, but 11.5 points seems like a lot. Hawks win COMFORTABLY by 10 and we are ALL IN on the UNDER.

PICK: Purdue +11.5, UNDER 43

#10 Michigan State -4.5 @ Indiana (11:00 AM CST, FS1)

Long gone are the days of #MSUnders and Indiana covering every spread humanly possible. Although those times are gone, I will also look back fondly on the memories made betting on these two teams.

Outside of the game against Nebraska, MSU has blown everyone out. They look good, and avid spread awareness readers will know that I have always been a big Mel Tucker fan.

Indiana on the other hand has really fallen off. Many people are saying Iowa broke them in Week 1 and they have not recovered. I don’t know if that is true but I am not saying it is false.

Give me MSU and give me the OVER

PICK: MSU -4.5, OVER 48.5

Nebraska -4 @ Minnesota (11:00 AM CST, ESPN2)

Hmmmmmm…..hmmmmmmmmm….ummmmm….hmmmmmmmm…uhhh….

Ugh, I think I have to do it.

PICK: Nebraska -4

Rutgers -2 @ Northwestern (11:00 AM CST, BTN)

Oh, what a terrible game this will be BUT, I think there is a very good chance Rutgers gets their first Big Ten win of the season, and then, I honestly think they could win 3 of their last 5 games. Look out for the Scarlet Knights!

Northwestern on the other hand…YIKES. They got blown out by Nebraska two weeks ago and better hope they found some guys that can tackle during the bye week or they are going to have a miserable time the next few weeks.

PICK: RUTGERS -2

Army +14 vs Wisconsin (7:00 PM CST, BTN)

TUrtle fight

A huge game here between two of the worst passing offenses in the country. Army comes in ranked 292nd averaging a very nice 69 YPG. Wisconsin comes in 230th in the nation with a not-so-nice 171 YPG. Basically, this game is going to be UGLY, which is exactly how both teams like it.

Honestly, after looking at the stats, I think I am putting this game into the MUST WATCH/BET category. The total for the game is 39, incredible!

I think Wisconsin wins a close, beautifully gross game.

PICK: Army +14, UNDER 39

TOP 25 GAMES OF THE WEEK OF THE CENTURY

#21 Texas A&M -9 @ Missouri – Texas A&M -9

Usually, I would take Missouri here. I love a good letdown game, and this could be one for A&M BUT...everyone is saying it's a letdown game. Literally everyone, even my mother. Usually when everyone agrees on something they are wrong.

Oklahoma State +4 @ Texas – Oklahoma State +4

There is no coming back from what Texas did last weekend. They are dead and may be gone forever.

Sad horns

**Is the Crying Jordan meme still a thing or is this picture from like 5 years ago?

#11 Kentucky +21.5 @ #1 Georgia – Kentucky +21.5

Georgia has dominated everyone it has played so far and I absolutely love them in this game as well. That is why I am picking Kentucky.

Smart

#18 Arizona State -1 @ Utah – ASU -1

I need to stop betting against Herm Edwards because whenever I do I lose. #FORKEMDEVILS

DEGENERATE GAME OF THE WEEK

Western Kentucky -12.5 @ Old Dominion – Western Kentucky -12.5

I know Western Kentucky has struggled so far against some pretty decent competition, but only making them a 12.5 point favorite over a country boy band seems like a gross overreaction.

2021 RECORD
Overall: 46-44-1
ATS: 38-27-1
OU: 8-17
