Hey, remember five months ago when Spencer Lee kicked a whole bunch of ass and steamrolled the entire 125 lb field on his way to a national championship? Man, that was fun. The 2018-19 season is still about three months away, but why not re-live Lee's dominant performance courtesy this very fun highlight video from @NCAAwrestling?

That's the good stuff.
It's still remarkable that he won this first two matches with 16-0 technical falls and then managed to one-up that in the quarterfinals and semifinals with consecutive pins, the latter coming over Ohio State's Nathan Tomasello, a former NCAA champion and four-time All-American (and one of just two men to hand Lee a defeat last season). His bonus point streak stopped in the final against Rutgers' Nick Suriano, but scoring multiple takedowns on an opponent who hadn't given up a single takedown for the entire tournament is nothing to sniff at. It was an incredibly satisfying cap to one of the best championship performances we've seen from an Iowa athlete in a very long time.
And, oh yeah, he was just a freshman when he did all that. The next few years are going to be a lot of fun, folks.
